Any idea when AMD will release something new? I know that the duel core technology is slotted for late next year sometime (we hope). But I don't want to wait that long to upgrade.

Does anyone know if AMD has any upgrades in store for the short term? I just don't want to make a purchase today and have something new come out next month.

This might be silly question, but could a hyperthreaded CPU like Prescott essentially be made to run Win64 by splitting the processor into to 32 bit parts at half speed?

I think we're stuck with speed bumps using the K8 (Athlon 64) core until Dual Core.

Check the AMD Virtual Pressroom for chip release info and a processor road map.

Humm... Is it a joke??? It's like asking a car manufacturers to split a car in 2 to make it work with 2 wheels and half is engine...

32bit vs 64bit is not as simple as "doubling" something... It's 2 different/complementary thing!
