Final computer parts what do you think??

Well havent posted in a while but here in about 3 weeks i'll be building my rig. I got a second job just to build this computer so i can still build a good one. These are probally my final specs. How well will these products work together.

1)athlon 64 3200 2.2 ghz socket 754($190.00 newegg)
2}512 mb pc3200 crusial ram($89.00 newgg)
3)gigabyte "GA-K8VT800M" K8T800 chipset($74.00 newegg)
4)sparkle power 530 watt($74.00 newegg)
5)radeon 9700 pro 128mb($150.00 ebay)
6)dvd drive($23.00 newegg)
total=$600.00

Okay first of all i no alot of you would say why don't you go with socket 939? Well first of all the mobos and cpus are more expensive. For the price a pay for a 939 mobo and 939 retail cpu, i can get a higher clocked socket 754 cpu and cheaper mobo and memory. Secondly the 939 cpu and mobos and cpus will be changing in some shape of form in the next 2 years. Why get a 939 if by time i get ready to upgrade the cpu, pci express will be so common and i'm stuck with 939 mobo. I don't plan to overclock so don't need a overclocking board just a good one.

  1. Sniffle, I think you suck new dude. Build my computer last year and now its old news. Snifle.

    Hell, your build looks fine to me. You built what you possessed money for and got a good PC.

  2. upgrade that 9700 to a 9800 pro - then o/c it to 9800XT speeds.

    Get an Nforce 3 mobo.

  3. Personal preference, I would get the Asus K8N board http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-512&depa=0
    Aside from the chipset being better, it also runs a little cooler because it's a single chip chipset.
  4. I'd go for a 939, get a 3000+ instead of the 3200+, split the 512ram to 2x256 and run my system with dual channel memory, rather than getting the 754 without dual channel
  5. I'd go with the socket939, a winchester 3000+, which will do 2500mhz no problem, gigabyte came out with a cut down version of its GA-K8NSNXP-939, it's probably about 100US.
