Bad CPU read?? Tags: CPUs Motherboards Windows XP Last response: November 30, 2004 10:29 PM in CPUs Share Sii November 29, 2004 6:06:46 AM Need some help guys!!!!!!!! I have just together a system with an AMD Athlon XP 2600 with an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard, but after installing everything the CPU shows up as 1.04G, I thought it would be about 2.2G at least!! Is this normal or have I done something wrong?? At present your fsb is set to 100 (100 X 10.5 = 1050) Set it to 166. Hmm 1.75 sounds like a sempron. | Report abuse Sii November 30, 2004 10:29:45 PM Thanks guys, I changed the FSB to 166 and that worked!! and yes the multiplier was fixed at 11.5 so I couldn't change it, but all seems fine now.
