Does a Pentium M 745 (1.8 ghz) perform that much greater than a Pentium M 725 (1.6 ghz)? The price difference is $150. I plan to keep the laptop for quite sometime, and my primary uses would be web surfing, using productivity suites, dvd burning, and some gaming. With new technologies always emerging, is it worth it to get the 1.8 or stick with the 1.6?

Thank you very much,
Pudgy

1.6 might overclock to 1.8

Can you overclock a notebook? In the couple I have owned, there is no option in the BIOS for that...

°¤o,¸¸¸,o¤°`°¤o \\// o¤°`°¤o,¸¸¸,o¤°
And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign

I think so, although as I've never owned one I can't be sure.

Hacked BIOS perhaps?

So far all Dothans are hitting 2.5Ghz on air with stock HSF and no voltage increase.

Check out my site below for more info, we have several dothan threads going.
