Can any one tell me what to look for on a Williams "Funhouse" machine
as far as things that break, etc.
I am in the middle of a a deal and I may not be able to look and
actually touch the game before I buy it. It is supposed to be working
100% and comes with tons of stuff.
But to make the drive from Pit to Chicago it isn't worth it for the
$289.00 NAVL is going to charge to go get it.
I already asked him to send pics of EVERYTHING so I can see AND so I
will have them in case of any damage that may happen.
Thanks

How much are you getting it for? I own a FH and absolutely love it, so
I'd say it's probably worth it for a reasonable sum, even with the
ridiculous gas prices.

Oh, the main things to look for are probably cracked ramps and that
Rudy is 100%, replacement parts for him are not only costly, but can be
a pain in the ass. Make sure you check the gears under the pf for rudy
as well.

Ok I guess I should've stated the cost.
I am getting it for 2,500 and is supposed to be working 100%. Including
Rudy.
And it comes with All 4 brand new ramps (including the under playfield
one), a new set of plastics, all new rubbers, a brand new clear coated
playfield, new coin door, new umbrella, and a couple of "cliffys"
protectors. All this stuff is still in the packages they came
in....Grantid I will have some time putting all this together and am
going to pay close to 300.00 to ship.
I think it is a good deal though..... I just wish I could see it in
person.

It is the a clear coated overlay on a funhouse playfield and clear
coated. He said he bought it at a show. He said the only parts that
were already on it was the coin door. And maybe a couple of the
rubbers.

I know you already said you couldn't do this but I am writing in to see
if there is anyone with some knowledge of this game that lives close
could take a look and give me an idea of what I am getting.Thanks....I
believe the zip is 60060.

Hi, Larry:
I think I have spent more time investigating FH than I have working
this past year.
There is more to tell than can be posted here.
One question I would ask is whether the game has the System 11 sound or
is a later version since the earlier versions would only accept one
subsequent rom revision and there were several more after that. A
problem with the earlier versions is that the trap door could spring
open while a pinball was on top of it and it would be launched forcibly
into the glass. I posted about a modification that remedied that but I
needed to have a pinball tech do it for me. And there is lots more I
could tell you to look for and to ask about but as I said, there is
simply too much to post and only by talking to you would I think of
more to tell you as we discuss various features, common and not so
common problems.
You are welcome to phone me. My home number is (818)758-1919, my
office is (818) 788-1888 and my cell phone is (818) 521-5000.
