Just built a new pc and installed xp pro. Exverything seems to be working fine except sending mail. About 90% of the time sending a small note and 100% of the time if I attach a file, xp crashes. No blue screen, just black then reboots. Mail program I was using was Eudora pro 4.2, I thought maybe it wasn't compatible with xp so I configured Outlook but face the same problem. Anyone have any thoughts on what could be causing this and how to resolve it? Thanks.

So far everything else seems to be working. Web surfing, cd burning, etc. (not much of a gamer but a couple older games (2-3 years old), seem to work fine.

Problem solved. Updated the ethernet card driver, that Microsoft seemed to think I needed, with the latest driver from the card manufacturer. All is fine now.
