If you are only reaching 47° C under load you are doing good. Anything under 60° I generally see as acceptable.

If you plan on staying overclocked, or overclocking from time to time, you will probably actually want to get RAM faster than PC3200 (DDR400).

sorry folks I think I was abit hasty to publish my overclocking results. After running my pc under stress for a week it turns out that I had to reduce the overclock down to 2.250ghz (250 * 9) as it refused to boot up every now and again. However, i only seemed to have a problem booting up the computer on the odd occasion. when it worked it, it worked fine all day long, so it may be just a temporary problem. I'll give it another bash when i get a chance. I'm sure i can hit 2.5ghz.

As for the voltage. I've set it to 1.5v in bios but I dont think it actually does anything as under the ps probe tool that came with my asus a8v deluxe motherboard Ive not actually seen it go up to 1.5v. But I may be wrong.

Can someone tell me how much of a performance boost i am likely to get from upgrading my memory from pc2100 (266mhz) to pc3200 (400mhz) in dual channel mode. and also whether its worth setting up a sata raid 0 system as opposed to the normal single ide arrangment i have now. Currently my p.c is achieveing around 13,500 in 3dmark 2001 se with my 6600gt graphics card. how much is upgrading memory and harddeive setup likely to affect my 3dmark.
