I've got a barton 2600@2.0(yeah,i'll see what i can get out of it),512 ddr400,n force 2 ultra 400 mb,5900lx.

Is it time for me to upgrade to an Athlon 64 3000+ ?

Am i going to get a huge increase in performance?

I can run all my new games no problem(hl2,cs-s),i just wondered if i'm missing out.

I went from an xp-m@ 2.4, to an A64@ 2.45. There was anoticeable change, but only just. Had I not had someone wanting my system, I wouldn't have done it.
You would probably gain more by going to a better graphics card, even that would only be marginal.
