Hello,
My Asus motherboard does not recongnise my keyboard until the Windows OS loads.

Now I have no OS and need to install new OS.

Since keyboard works only after Windows boots I cannot access Bios to change boot options to CD, Floopy or USB.

How do I install the OS on the HDD ?

What type of keyboard are you using ? -- the keyboard should work without the OS loading but it could be that it needs to be plugged into a specific connection on the MOBO (ie. only some USB ports may be useable if using a USB keyboard connection.) What MOBO do you have ? do you have any other keyboard type -- ie. if USB does not work do you have a PS2 type connecting keyboard to try ?

I was using a wireless keyboard. One day noticed it is not working before loading windows. Thus tried several other keyboards on my PC, USB keyboard and PS2 keyboard but neither worked. If i connect keyboard before booting then the system doesn't move after the system information screen comes up.

If i connect the keyboard after the machine has booted into windows then it works.

I was hoping the day to reinstall the OS would not come, but my HDD crashed for good and hence now there is no OS.
