Hi, I am pretty much an em guy and a SS newbie.

I have a roll over that is making one of the pop bumpers engage. The
contacts for each is gapped correctly and clean.


I suspect the diode on the roll over may be bad. Am I thinking
correctly?

Check/replace the diodes on both just to be safe. If any one of those
switches had a capacitor soldered across it, the capacitor may also be
bad (leaky).
