Help with boot up

Hello, I switched off my laptop whilst MSN was loading some updates. Now I cant get it to boot up saying error 0000124 (I think). And telling me to use the "installation" disc, which I havent got!
Running Win Ultimate on a Dell 1750 Insperion.
Any help would be gratefully recieved, thanks
