I work at staples, and 3 days ago a costumer arrived with a toshiba laptop, it was falinf to boot in to normal mode, so I started it in safe mode to do a backup, but then an other technician reboot the machine, now it does not boot even in safe mode, it gets stuck loading a .sys file.

I Tried to get access to command prompt with a windows 7 DVD but for some reason the hard drive is not listed, so i have no access to it, I can't even re install windows b/c of that, but still the fact that even it start loading tells me that the machine do have access to it.

I extract the hard drive and tried to connect it to an other computer running XP, through a IDE-USB 2.0 adaptapter, the leds turn on indicating that the hard drive is working but the computer doesn't recognize it.

Any suggestions?
