for what samsung have their allshare software for most of their products that support wifi but i am not familiar with your phone or laptop more than likely if they are moderately new they will support both wifi and bluetooth so their are 2 ways to connect em

Download "samsung kies" softwate install it .connect mobile via datacable ,wifi,bluetooth. automatically detect all samsung mobiles my one is gts5380k.

Datacable is better then wifi and bluetooth.Reason : To reduce data loss and connection issue.
