How are these system specs?

I am going to be upgrading my system, from the one in my sig to possibly this. Do you guys think I need a new PSU? if so I was thinking something along the lines of a 500W Fortron Source. For the motherboard I settle with Epox right now. I am open to any suggestions. I am not worried if it is nforce3 or VIA. the other mobos I was looking at were the Soltek, Asus, and gigabyte.

New system specs:
A64 3000 s939 retail
Epox 9NDA3J mobo
still a toss up between x800 pro VIVO, or 6800gt
Seagate 160GB 7200RPM 8MB buffer plus my current WD 80GB
Everything else will just carry over from my old system in my sig.

This system will be used mainly for gaming. Do you guys think I need to make any adjustments? I will be doing overclocking. Any suggestions or comments on this build are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  1. I would try it with the PSU you have right now, and then upgrade it if you find it is necessary. Have you looked at the MSI Neo2 platinum mobo at all?? The only reason I ask is because I just made a system with it, and I was very happy with it. As well, I remember when I was building my system someone referred me to a really good review of a bunch of the 939 mobos, and hence why I chose the MSI.
  2. I heard that there are some problems with that board, so that's why I didn't really want to go with that one. I saw some good reviews of the 939 mobos too and that is why Epox and probably Asus are at the top of my list.

  3. I have heard that the gigabyte board is very good. It does have a problem with the oddball s939 3400 chip, but even that can be fixed, by setting the chip up manually in bios.
  4. I've seen some of the different benchmarks and notices that the Asus board gets better scores than the Epox. Would Asus be better for OC'ing and for the games I play?
