Where do speakers connect to the computer

Hi, I have 2 speakers and don't know when turned on they make noise but I can't get any noise from the computer as they are not connected

Connect the 3.5mm audio jack to the 3.5mm audio socket that is available (could be colour coded as well, and you plug it into the green socket).
