Intel vastly improved their 4th quarter expectations during their mid-quarter update. I wonder if they were over-zealous as well... Craig's making a call after the market closes.
Apparently the flash market in general was soft in Q4. I find that hard to believe with all the personal devices that are bought for Christmas...but ok.
'At Bear Stearns, analyst Gurinder Kalra didn't follow suit, but did say the company was suffering too much at the hands of Intel. "We give AMD credit for how far it has come on the processor front, but finally, as we expected, Intel has started to inflict 'real' pain," Kalra said in a research note.'
