My hp deskjet f4435 will only print a test page...wont print from my laptop?

Hello,
i have a hp deskjet 4435...
i last used it about 3 weeks ago...it ran out of black ink...so, i just put new black ink in few days ago...amd im trying to print something from my notepad and it wont print...nor will it print from my gmail account...the only thing it will do is print a ''test page'///could someone please help me...ive gotta print this today and fax to my mortgage company by 7pm....help :0)

Unplug and re-plug in the printer.
Re-install the print cartridge (I know it printed out a test page).
Re-install the drivers.
Re-start the computer.
