Hey guys, I have decided to build my own computer, but I need some advice from you guys :p

I have read alot of post saying that Athlon 64+ 3000 (939) is better than Athlon 64+ 3200 (939). Why is that ?

Here's the parts that I'm planning to buy, feel free to give any suggestion :p

CPU:
Athlon 64+ 3000 (939)
or
Athlon 64+ 3200 (939)

Motherboard:
MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum $185

Ram (184 pins):
Corsair Value Select 512MB PC-2700

Video Card:
BFG GeForce 6800GT OC 256MB GDDR3

HDD:
Maxtor 160GB S-ATA w/ 8MB cache

DVD Burner:
LiteOn SOHW-1633S 16x DVD+/-RW + Dual Layer

Sound Card:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS w/ 1394

Do I need extra fans ?

Splendid
Okay, the A64s come in two flavours. One is the old socket 754. It had single channel ram. Now Amd has added 185 pins, to allow an extra memory channel (184 pins + 1 for power) That's s939. But they gave a lot of weight to dual channel memory, and it's just not that good.
As a result, the s754 3000+ is a better performer than the s939 3200+.
If you are going with AGP graphics, and not OCing, there is no advantage to S939. You may as well get the better performance, and more tried and true mobos of s754.
Pick up an Asus K8N, and a s754 3000. You will be glad you did.

LiteOn SOHW-1633S 16x DVD+/-RW + Dual Layer
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS w/ 1394
