Explorer exe waiting for log-off sound wont shut off

Hi,
My toshiba satellite L755Dmodel keeps freezing when I try to log off i get the message explorer.exe waiting for log-off sound. i have to force the log off. this happens whether i use IE or not.

explorer.exe is Windows Explorer not Internet Explorer. Have you tried turning the log-off sound off?

Use Norton 2013 and Malwarebytes afterwards...
