I think 1 BIL is the lower threshold for a respectable score.

My best is 1.8Billion and my score is in 4th place on the machine I
own. Grand Champion is 2.2Billion. Isn't is great when your friends
come over and kick your ass on your own machine?

What do you have to do to score big on RFM? I played one for 45+
minutes (started multiball repeatedly mostly, started Mothership MB
once) and my score was still only 750M.

Get to mothership multiball on every bonus wave multiball (not easy),
then work the motherships for big points... see if you can get through
all five motherships. Also work Attack mars for the hurryups and such.
Easier said than done, my scores still are in the low 1.x billions.
