My Lenovo Thinkpad (465 GB, not sure of model) is randomly playing audio, usually three-minute segments of a repeating Dark Knight Rises trailer but currently a three-hour-long opera benefit concert (which I'm admittedly enjoying). It's not open anywhere, there's nothing in the Task Manager Applications tab to explain it, but there is a foreign process called GoogleTaskbarNotifier that only exists 5% of the time when it's not happening and 100% when it is, and it only has a *32 next to its name when it is playing audio. It cannot be deactivated in Task Manager. What can I do, and what could be causing it?

Uninstall any applications that you do not want, especially browser addons.
Go to Run and type 'msconfig' <enter>, go to startup tab and remove anything you don't want running. Reboot, then uninstall or delete.
There is an application called Unlocker, I believe filehippo.com.
You can find where it is installed right click and use Unlocker to unload from memory. Then uninstall normally or delete if otherwise not possible.
