Hello, had a very persistent Asian sounding guy call me saying I had loads of viruses on my wireless system and he would clear them for me for £25. At first he wanted me to let him do a remote logon but when I said NO he took me through to Windows logs and showed me a bunch of error and warning messages.
I to9ld him to take his scam away & nbother someone else but I wonder HOW he got my name & number and whether any of this was legit Ivan

I answered this in your other thread in Networking but are you sure he knew your name? He acts like a medium in a seance - asking questions which would ring true with most people and therefore he sounds plausbible for being right most of the time. He probably has a computer dialling sequential or random numbers and only takes the call when he hits a live line that someone has answered.
