U can use windows update via control panel (but it was ie version 9)

when you will go to microsoft update they will ask you to install ie 9 just check hide this so it wont suggest it to load it again .

Why do you want to download IE 8 for Windows 7? I prefer IE8 to IE9 myself. IE8 comes with Windows 7 so does not need to be installed unless you have a European version of Windows 7. If you have accidentally installed IE9 and want to go back to IE8 then go to Control Panel, Programs and features, View installed updates, find the entry for IE9 and uninstall. When you restart the computer then IE8 should be put back.
