Looking for a gaming laptop for college

about $1200, less is always appreciated

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15-inch, since its for college I will need something I can carry around with ease

3_What screen resolution do you want?

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

5_How much battery life do you need?
around 5 hours not gaming, doing 'school work' like notes, papers, etc. I'll be plugged in when I'm gaming

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Starcraft 2(mostly), Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 1&2, Fallout, etc. Medium settings are a must

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)
Majoring in computer science, so programming stuff, also light Photoshop stuff

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
320GB+

I'm currently looking at the Asus G51j-X2 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/ite... Also please try to stay under the budget, cause 1200 is already a bit of a stretch, unless its a really good deal.

There's not much in your price range and screen size that's going to last 5 hours... You can try to configure a HP ENVY 15 with the Slice battery upgrade... if you register for their HP Academy school discount thing, you can get it for about $1100 here: http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/series/category/noteb...

If you're willing to drop your screen size down to 14", you can try the Acer AS4820TG here:

The amazon version has a i3 processor, the microcenter one has an i5 processor. It plays SC2 on High perfectly, and lasts at least 5 hours unplugged, with wifi on and browsing the web.
