I have a dvd rom, speakers, monitor, and software. My total if I go the cheapest way of all options on there is $719 so far. Am I missing anything? I mean I'm thinking extra fans, possibly a dvd rw, anything else I could need you could think of?
I don't know how far I would trust Rosewon't. I might skip the Audigy and get a MSI K8N-NEO Platinum. Good 7 channel sound, a ton of extras, and none of the non-adjustable memory complaints people are lodging against the Gigabyte economy boards. Logitec MX-510 for mouse or Intellimouse Explorer 2.0. Kingmax might be OK but make sure you can reach at least 230mhz with it as you are surely going to want to overclock that pig! JMHO
Abit IS7 - 3.0C @ 3.6ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot
I would get the socket 754 athlon, it wont be great for the future but its much better value than the socket939 chips. Get 1gig of RAM if you can, its becomming the standard now, also if you could afford to get a 6800 that would put you in good sted for quite a while.
