Ethernet driver for sony vaio windows 7

Help!

I have recently had mt Sony Vaio E Series VPVEG18FG worked on and cannot connect to the internet.
When trying to connect the message is stating: Windows did not detect any networking hardware.
Can some one assist me in how to go about installing the correct driver that will enable me to connect to the internet as well as doing so through the virgin network as before I could connect.
