I have been researching DSLR Cameras for my personal use. I have narrowed it down to the Canon Digital Rebel and The nikon d70. Anyone have pros or cons about these two cameras? Thanks in advance.
They're pretty comparable cameras. Any differences between the two are subtle. What may be an important factor for you is whether any of your shutterbug family&friends have Canon or Nikon equipment.

Thanks for the replys. The review sites are wonderful Dax. I've got days of reading there. Auburn, the sad thing is only pentax users that I can find. LOL. I am just looking for a family camera, but I'm tired of the limitations you encounter with the point and shoots. I really like the Nikon, I just have to decide wheather its worth the extra dollars. So far I think so. Thanks Again.

I have the 10D, which is the dRebel's big brother, and absolutely love it.
Either way I think both are wonderful cameras, but I'd go for the dRebel body only, and get the Canon 24-85mm USM lens for it if your wallet will stand for it. IMHO the "stock" lens' on both cameras are the weakest link the the image quality chain.

All were taken with Canon 24-85 except the last, which was with the 75-300 IS lens.
