I assume for all sockets which use Athlon 64 CPUs
February 17, 2005 12:25:42 AM

Reason why socket is a valid question is that there already is a very noticeable variation in price per socket (i.e. socket 754 AMD64 is approx $140 OEM while socket 939 AMD64 is approx $160).

Reason why socket is a valid question is that there already is a very noticeable variation in price per socket (i.e. socket 754 AMD64 is approx $140 OEM while socket 939 AMD64 is approx $160) now if the % reduction applies to both sockets, then that makes sense.

Amd's price is for 1k lots, before discount. Look at it as an MSRP.
Funny thing is, locally the 939 chips are cheaper, but the boards are more.
