I've misplaced the recovery CD for my dimension 2400 and now I need it. All
calls to Dell have been fruitless.
Must I buy the OS and reinstall? What choices do I have?

Thanks
Joe

Since it is Dell OEM, Microsoft can not help.
Ebay bas been known to have those CDs.

The older the computer, the less likely Dell is to have the CD.
However I would try back a time or two more.
Be very polite and see if you get a different answer.
But if there are no CDs available, it does not matter how many times
you call.

Since it is a current model that shipped with either XP Pro SP1 or XP Home
SP1, Dell should have it.

If you have more than one Dell, any Dell labeled XP CD will work.

I gave Dell another shot on the phone, if all goes as
planned, the cd is on the way.

Thanks All,
Joe
