Bargain price.. the specs look good too for the price.

What I want to know is if this is a good deal for the price, or if I could find better for the same price or cheaper.

I prefer laptops so this is good for me...

It says intergrated graphics card and I'm not an expert but I think I've been told before that intergrated is bad for gaming..

Basically I want to play the upcoming mmo Star Wars: The Old Republic lag free and good graphic settings, so not sure if it would work on this.

If not, could I get a different graphics card and put it in the laptop or is that no a good idea?

Sorry if I'm mumbling on a bit, all I want to know really is it good laptop for my money, and if I can upgrade the graphics card if needed.

Thanks!

That laptop wont be able to play really any games that have come out in the last 10 years....ok maybe not that long but it wont be enough for SWTRO. The specs for that much money aren't even very good....i heaven t even heard of that CPU. You could prob get a I3 cpu with integrated graphics for like $100 more. Which would be 200% faster, but still unable to game.

Any laptop with integrated graphics really are only good for general use, older integrated GPUs cant even handle streaming video, the newer ones can play 1080p without any problems. but even the newer integrated graphics don't game very well.

You can't install a new graphics card on laptops unfortunately, so i wouldn't recommended buying that laptop if you want to play SWTRO with higher graphic settings.

To be able to play new games on a laptop with decent settings I wouldn't look at anything under $1000, you'll prob end up paying around $1200 or even more for a laptop that fits your needs.

Don't expect a great gaming performance from it, consider a laptop with at least Nvidia GT 330M/ATI HD 5650M if you want to play games.

Any laptop with sufficient graphics power to do modern games fairly well will have far too much heat and noise to be comfortable.

Most laptops leak heat through the keys and it is simply uncomfortable to use even in idle mode.

Having said that, you should look into a laptop that uses NVidia's OPTIMUS technology. It has two graphics cards. A basic one and one meant for gaming/editing. The higher-end card is turned off COMPLETELY when not needed (you can even assign the game link manually if their drivers have not yet updated the links. Good for too new or too-old games.)

NVidia OPTIMUS.
