Choppy playback with video files - windows 7

hi guys and girls, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice, yesterday, i did a driver update on my nvidia geforce 8200 graphics on my compaq cq60 laptop, ever since i am having problems playing any sort of video file, and also streaming from the internet,
i have tried rolling back drivers, deleting and reinstalling drivers, updating flash player, virus checks, advanced system care checks and also tried using different media players but to no avail,

any help appreciated

Hi. Download and install the k lite codec pack full from here. http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_codec_pack_download.htm also update to the latest version of Java from here http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp
