i was thinking about upgrading my system from 2.4 ghz 533 512
to a 3.06 ghz intel 533 512

is it worth it
or should i spend that 300+ on a good agp card such as the x800?

my mb revision only supports up to 3.06 ghz 478 pin

What are your current specs?

If this is about gaming (which games), a better GPU normally has the greatest influence.

I also mean RAMspeed, videocard, those things.

It would be worth it if you could find the CPU cheap enough. By cheap enough I mean looking for a used 3.06 for around $150 and selling your old one for $50 or more. Because the performance increase isn't worth more than $100 in my opinion.

For the price of that 3.06 P4b, you can get an Asus K8N, and an A64 3400+. I know which I would pick.
