not much difference. if you want a cheaper printer to run, get a laser printer. The cartridges are expensive, but they last a lot longer. if you only use it at home you could go 1-2 years without replacing a toner cartridge.

You can also use refilled ink cartridges or compatible ink cartridges, they save a lot!

What brand has least expensive ink?

I just got a KODAK and the all-in-one's box said I would save on ink, but I was so desperate for a printer on sale in my price range, I bought not really caring. Since then, I have research the the price of the ink cartridge which is $10 for black (335 pages) & $18 for color (275 pages). I assume most people probably buy there XL package of each cartridge which is twice that amount of ink for 2 times that price or some other combo. I don't use much color, so this pricing works for me.
