27" monitor?

After building my PC and having two, yes two, hand-me-down monitors, it's about time I invested in a real good monitor - something I'm happy with. I think I've decided that I don't need a dual monitor set up, as beneficial as that could be, I'd rather just get one big monitor. 27" seems the sweet spot for big monitors. Anything less is a little small and anything more and you may as well tether your PC to a TV. So, I'm reaching out to the good people of Tom's Hardware to see what the chances are of getting a full HD 27" monitor with a fairly decent refresh rate for under £250. By fairly decent refresh rate I mean more than 60Hz. I don't play Minecraft without V-Sync which means I can only achieve 60FPS even with my 560 Ti at the moment. I'd really like something which allows me a higher FPS even with V-Sync. I also play most of my games with V-Sync enabled.

Do a search on EBAY for computer monitors. You can find "perfect pixel" 27 inch 2560 X 1440 monitors for about 335 bucks.
