Hello,
when i start my lap top the screen says loading windows then shows me the message status:0xc00000e9
info: an unexpected i/o error has occured.
i am unable to boot at all. what can i do to resolve this issue?

The hard drive may have failed if you get 0xc00000e9 error.
Test the drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic bootable CD.
You can download the ISO file from the appropriate manufacturer using one of the links here: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287

using a working PC, you can create the CD from the ISO file using IMGBURN:

When you've made the CD, boot your laptop from it to start the hard drive testing utility.

If you don't know what make the hard drive is, you can use "SeaTools for DOS" to test it. Download the "SeaTools for DOS" ISO file from here: http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/seatools/
