Hi, all:
I have no connection with the seller and am not a potential buyer and
have no idea and about whether the Buy It Now price is or is not
appropriate but, I must say that I have just seen one of the best eBay
ads ever. The ad has a link to two videos, one of the game and one of
the animated backglass. I wonder if the seller is a member of this
rgp?

As John points out, Eric A is an esteemed rgp contributor. Bob, I
encourage you to google to find out why he's called Mr. Propane Torch!
Eric is a great guy and extremely funny as well!

When I do an ebay auction, I load the 'description' with html. then I
park my photos on my geocities web page, and reference them in the
html, like this:

<img src="http://www.geocities.com/stevekulpa/ebay/photo1.jpg">

I assume you could do this w/ an mpeg too.

Here's one of my old auctions - the entire description from the green
title to just before the counter is the stuff I put in the html. I
have them as text files, then just cut and paste into the ebay
description field.

Well, if he wanted to make it really impressive he could integrate with
this technology:

Then you would know if it has spent anytime in a bar...

The seller (Eric) is indeed an RGP'er

If all else fails, check out the HELP section on Ebay. It's just as easy to
do pictures as post a reply here Del. You need them on a server somewhere
( yours, or one of many companies including Ebay who host them for a tiny
fee, the link goes on your Ebar ad layout. Copy, point, click at worst. LTG

I believe you mount them using the screws that hold the ball guide
brackets on the blue skill shot ramp. Just for decoration but I recall
seeing one for sale recently that had them all installed and they
looked pretty cool all lined up like that.

The flag set came with the game originally and it does look pretty good
but I figured it would ship better with them in their original state.
I'll install them at no charge for the winner if they want.

I like the concept of showing video of the game. All games should be shown
this way. However the quality of the video actually detracts from the game I
think.
Eventually I think we will see more people offering high quality video of
their games.

If you knew how busy I am right now (about to start a trial) it would
make your day even more. I had to take the time to post because I was
totally blown away by the ad and had never seen one with video on eBay
before... not to minimize in any way the great a restoration job you
also did.

Glad it turned out that the ad was from "one of us."

Del: Although you say you are not computer wise, Lloyd's reference to
a "server" shouldn't scare you away because it can be automatic with
eBay.
If you have a picture in your computer you can put it up with your ad
very easily. You would simply need to make sure you reduce it to a
size that eBay accepts and you would also need to turn off any pop up
stoppers you might have running. Next time you want to run an ad I
would be happy to walk you through the photo addition process right
while you are doing it, You could phone me while I was at home in the
evening so I could duplicate your steps on my computer as we spoke (up
to the very last step when you, not me, would then actually place the
ad).
My home phone is (818) 758-1919

Awww shucks! (blush) That's nice of you to say Bob, that really made my day! :)

Heck I did spend a lot of time on the ad and even more when I took the first
batch of pictures and noticed some dirt I missd cleaning up. So I had to reclean
and then take new pictures and then repost.

Remember guys this game was offered here to RGP first so you guys get first
crack at the 1750 I initially offered it for. Yes it is a little on the high
side but this really is one nice Cyclone. Not to mention I need money for the
LOTR I'm buying! :) LOL!

I know but the 4 meg digital camera is the only thing I have at the
moment and it had sound so since it was basically a new toy I thought
I'd try it out.

I had the same type of videos on my Magic Castle and my Time Machine
auctions and they both sold for the BIN.

As video cameras and hosting become cheaper, I'm sure video will
probably replace photos as the preferred method of showing ANY item on
Ebay with perhaps the exception of flat items such as books. Although
even with a book, it would probably be easier to throw up a video
showing the front cover, spine, and back cover rather than 3 separate
photos.

Videos would definitely be welcome in the auto and home section of
Ebay.

Since half of the country is still on dial-up (including me) I hope
videos don't become the norm. I skip right over those.
