Thanx for the reply that Dell is problem very great picture and color quality but the 8ms response time sucks being my current monitor is at 2ms as advertised I would not be comfortable going anything lower.

Okay if speed is your thing, how about these:

(be sure to put it in instant mode)

or

Ya it looks like great specs however I am still not sold on 120hz monitors for gaming and movies because in today's high end titles no hardware can handle a constant 120fps on maxed settings however I get I couls set the monitor back to good old 60hz refresh.

I have a 120hz monitor, and I've gotten it up to 120hz in a lot of games. I don't think I had any trouble maxing out Just Cause 2 or Deus Ex. (dual 580gtx in SLI)

That said, it's sitting on a shelf and I'm using an IPS panel.

Most People including me dont want or cant afford over $1000 in GPUs and that is the bottom line.

Hey, I have the same monitor currently and I'm looking to buy a second monitor for a dual-monitor setup. Is the Asus VH236H a good deal?

Or is the VH242H better?

The 236 has a faster response time of 2ms, while the 242 has 5ms. But the 242 is a later model, right? So wouldn't that mean it's actually better?
