Nope. The clawhammer has added cache, to make up for a lack of speed. The 3500 was never a bleeding edge chip.

I should add that any oem could commision Amd to make them.

Clawhammer:
s754 versions are 3000+, 3200+, 3400+ and 3700+
s939 versions are 4000+, FX 53 and FX 55

other then the added cache, any differences in archetechure that might differ the newcastle/winchester from the clawhammer? and wuts up with the sledgehammers?

Unfortunately, the Hammer are usually clocked 200Mhz slower than non-hammers at the same PR and the cache doesn't make up the difference in clock speed...

Haven't looked a the Sledgehammer/Clawhammer cores much so I can't tell you the differences.... :eek:
