Well I told you all I would try to post my progress on the first time building a computer so here it is.
Opened up all the boxes to make sure all was there, plus it was like a kid on christmas day!
Set up the case by adding the fan to the rear and front. Installed the power supply with no problems so far. Then I started on placing the mobo onto the pull out mobo tray. I forgot to place a few of the copper risers underneath the mobo so I had to unscrew what I had and started over. I found lining up the mobo with the risers was difficult. Finally place the mobo in and then proceded to place the CPU and heatsink. I was a little leary here because I know of the damage I could do. I placed the CPU down onto the mobo with the triangles lined up and it looked like it went in ok but the heat sink I had to really push down the handle to get it to snap. It did so we will see if I smashed the cpu pins.
After that I started installing the ePCI videocard and found the power connector that was given didnt fit anywhere on the card! Anyway installed it and audigy plat. sound card and its secondary piece which fits into the 5.25 slot. That was the time I started to get upset because I had to almost force it into the the slot. I got it in but I am not sure it is ever coming out. Started to install the floppy but had to go to bed plus I didnt quite understand the case manual on installation of 3.5 drives.
I know this is boring to most but for those that build computers think back to that very first one; remember all the problems you encounter well multiple that by 10! No I knew it was going to be a challenge thats why I did it.
Thanks to all of those that gave me input on the build it really has made it a great experience so far.
