I have a samsung r520 laptop - it's just 7 months old and yesterday the right side of mouse pad stopped working. I haven't spilled any liquid on it or it hasn't been dropped or pressed too hard.
Is there anything I can do before taking it to service?
You can try reinstalling the driver via Samsung's support site to see if that works. If not, I'd call Samsung and send it in for them to fix, as it maybe a hardware issue. Plus, seeing that you've had it less than a year, the factory warranty should cover it free of charge.
