ASUS Mainboard P4S800-MX, with Prescott Celeron 2.4D 478. No Vcore adjustment in BIOS.

Are there any programs available that will allow Vcore adjustment out side of the BIOS?

Thanks,

nope you're F***ed. plain as that. only mb and bios based vcore changes are possible unless you mod the board at the hardware level/

Nope, you can however modify the detected vCore of the CPU through bridging VID pins with thin wire. You can figure that part out if you download the documentation from Intel.

Too much mucking around - pins.

I'll just upgrade to a new MB and CPU.

Asus has some good ones on there website.

They are P5P800 and P5P800S. They have all OC adjustments available.

Do you know of any bad reports of the above MBs?

Thank's again.

I think that there is one 875 board by ASUS in particular that has had some problems but I dont know which one it is.

Thank's, I'll check Abit's IS7 MBs out.

Don't like changing brands though as I have never had probs with ASUS boards previously, but if Abits are good, have all BIOS options and are cheap,(don't like that word cheap, inferior quality or competitors more expensive- ripoff) I'll change brands - traitor :)

Add the K8N-E Deluxe to that list. It's the best board I've ever owned. I like it more than my NF7-S. That says something. The plain Jane ver (K8N) is also quite good.

The only competition it has is the one board that Abit makes and the ASUS board outperforms it in just about every category. Gigabyte has a horse in this race also, but the only advantge that it has is a few more features, but then again the ASUS has more features than I will ever use. Im talking stirctly about the socket 775 boards. The other thing about the E-Premium is that kingston has the fastest DDR2 but just hasnt put it on the market yet because the only board that is capable of running it is the ASUS-Premium
