I did a benchmark the other day on a Prescott Celeron 320D 2.4GHZ OC to 3019GHZ, is faster than 2.4GHZ P4 Northwood.

Does this sound correct?

Umm... no it doesn't sound right.

Yes, hard to believe but remember the Pres Cel is supposed to have extra instructions, but longer pipeline wich can be a drawback I guess.

The other difference is the Northwood has 512 L2 cashe - double the Cel at 256 cashe.

But again the Cel is OC a further 600MHZ - 2.4GHZ to 3019 MHZ.

I'll have to do some more benchmarks - more thorough and see what I get.

is that P4 with 400 or 533fsb?

The P4 Northwood is 533FSB and the Pres Cel is 533 but remember the Cel is OC to 167x4 = 668FSB.

Just a 2.4b ? I would have thought about a 2.8b What with 25% more memory band width, and the extra mhz, you estimates seem low.

>I did a benchmark

Yeah that sounds right for a benchmark.
