Outlook Express 5.0/Outlook Slow Load

Does anyone know why it takes over 1 min to load outlook express 5.0 or outlook 2000. I have a 1.1Ghz athlon 256Mb PC133 CL2, 30Gb IBM 75GXP, Abit KT7A, loads of cooling. Other microsoft programs such as Word 2000, Excel 2000 and Internet explorer 5.0 load up almost immediatly. Is this a known problem or are there any fixes. I have tried reinstallling and the problem still exists.


Sorry forgot to mention that it only very rarely loads at all most of the time it crashes

Do you have tons of messages? If you do, you could try compacting the folders in Outlook Express and Outlook. Outlook should be much faster than Outlook Express if you have a lot of messages, because the database that it uses is far superior in performance than the one that Outlook Express uses.
