Now here is a stupid question: how did you get firefox to seperate folders with links from links and not show them alphabetically in your link bar ? Im going nuts because I can not control the order (been used to opera for too long).

Heheh! Goto "Bookmarks" > "Managebook Marks". From there you can create folders, seperator bars etc in the bookmark mark folder.
