Strange DMD problem on TZ

I have been recently getting this weird problem when turning on my TZ.

When i power it up & get to the screen with the rom version & the
loading bar it is totally blank & nothing comes up on the screen, it
then makes the ding noise & the machine starts up normally & a few
seconds later the DMD comes on. Th DMD display looks fine theres no
distortion or missing dots or anything else wrong.

Now if i turn the machine off & then right back on, the screen comes on
fine showing the loading bar & everything. It only seems to happen if i
havent turned it on for a while.

Apart from that everything else works fine theres no switch errors & no
dreaded credit dot.

Is this somthing to be concerned about or just a weird quirk?? it just
seems weird why the DMD refuses to come on right away when i power it
on sometimes.

Swap out a DMD from another machine and see if it reacts the same way.
Other than that, I would suggest rebuilding your HV section of the DMD
controller or getting an HVP daughterboard.

I'm guessing HV, could be something as simple as a cold solder joint that
makes contact when it heats up.

It might be hard to do, but meaure the power to the DMD when it's first off,
you probably have something failing on the DMD driver board that is better
when it warms up. LTG :)

My TZ just started doing the exact same thing. I was going to ask
what the problem could be too. So it is either the BR2 or a component
on the DMD driver board?

Had this happen on my FT once, months later the game started resetting, I
then changed BR2 and the display worked fine again.
