Long story short - I have a Dell 926 printer. I have 2 black ink cartridges. Because of where I live and my finances (no credit card) I'm not able to get my hands on a colour ink cartridge.
Apparently, this printer will not work without both a black and colour cartridge. It simply keeps spitting out alignment pages (wasting ink while the alignment fails because of no colour). According to Dell, the sensors must show that there's ink in both or the printer will flat out not work.
I'm a student. Even if I could find one to buy, I can't afford to spend $30 on something that will never be used. Is there a way to trick the printer into thinking that the colour cartridge has ink in it?
