eMachines Touchpad Issue

Hello,
I have an emachine (E525). At first, i could scroll up and down through a document using my touchpad without having to drag. But now, it is difficult for me to do that. The touchpad functions normally and i can use it in moving the arrow, but i want to be able to use it to scroll like before. Please, can anyone help me out?

It could be that the surface of the touchpad has degraded a bit through constant use. Your could try giving it a good cleaning to get rid of grease and such to see if that helps, but I wouldn't expect much.
