Quick question:

I have a socket 939 Athlon 64 3000+ (Winchester) that I bought with the stock HSF.

I'm gonna buy a Zalman 7700CU, and I was wondering if there are any other (cheap) chips that the stock HSF fits on.

Like any socket 754's, semprons, etc...

or is the stock HSF designated exclusively to its native socket?

I was thinking about putting together a cheap system for my parents, and want to use parts I already have.

754, 939 and 940 all use the same HSF mountings.

Still it reminds me of the end of the looney toons episode where daffy duck is the salesman trying to sell porky pig something. At the end when the house is blown sky high, he exclaims. "I know what I'll sell you, Bub, You need a house to go with this doorknob"
