Win 7 msupdate

Solution
Are you able to boot into Normal Mode at all?

What about Safe Mode? Last Known Good Configuration?

If you can boot into those, you possibly can do a System Restore to before you applied the update.

Actually I was able to finally get my pc to boot up and it appeared like the install failed (according to the notes in my update history). My virus program seemed to have backed up a few days ago, so I ended up with my system going back a bit.

Got booted just fine after that. But it was a weird experience to see that bsod.

My concern is why I had issues in the first place. Usually I don't experience any problems with the updates but this one just crashed my system as soon as it was installed. It happened immediately during the reboot portion of the install and my programs were unable to "fix the problem" so my system was rolled back a few days to my last restore point.

Why do these things happen and what can I do about it? Its not my software or anything I've done.
