Hi Guys,
Anyone know whereabouts I can go to buy AMD processors in bulk at less that pricewatch prices? I'm in need of what I consider a lot (100) processors, but don't wanna blow that monies all at once, specifically, we're looking for xp 2400s. Any help would be kewl, thanks, Jossrik

Hmmm. 100 XP processors @ 2 Ghz. Thats some good computing for Folding@Home. Set those up and get Folding for Tom's Community! Its gonna be hard to find XP 2400+'s though. I saw XP 3000+'s for $100. Thats a good price. Thinking of selling my 2400+ and getting a 3000+. I could sell my 2400+ and it would only cost me $50 to upgrade.

If you have an NF2 mobo that can adjust the multiplier, get a mobile (XP-M 2500 or 2600), and run it at 200 x 11, same as a Barton XP 3200+ . They are cheaper than the XP 3000+ and more flexible. Most can go faster with good cooling.

I would, but my Asus A7N8X Deluxe is a Rev 1.04 board. Not the Ultra that can run the 200 FSB. So, I am pretty limited. I saw a XP 3000+ for $98. I can sell my current one for $50, so it only costs $50. Not a bad deal. I got a Thermaltake Silent Boost with Artic Silver, so I may get a decent overclock out of the 3000+. They look to be decent overclockers. I saw 2.167 Ghz @ 2.4 Ghz on stock heatsink.

The thing about the xp-m chips is the multiplier is unlocked, so you can up it as well as the fsb.
Most of the 1.04 revs can get close to 200 (190 say) and with a 12 or 13 multiplier, you get much better than any xp3000+
